On Thursday, October 2, 2025, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) and The Breakthrough Company GO (hereinafter referred to as “GO”) held a signing ceremony for a comprehensive partnership agreement. The ceremony took place at Mirai no Mori Play Field, operated by OEC Inc. in Oita City, with GO CEO Takahiro Miura and APU President Hiroshi Yoneyama in attendance to sign the agreement.
This agreement aims to combine the expertise and resources of both GO and APU to jointly promote “social innovation and regional revitalization through the power of creativity,” while also fostering the next generation of creative talent.
In today’s increasingly complex and diverse society, new ideas and approaches are essential. GO has been advancing human resource development in business, government, and local communities through the operation of The Creative Academy in Tokyo and Oita. Meanwhile, APU has been addressing regional and global challenges by leveraging its internationally diverse and multicultural educational environment.
Through this collaboration, the two institutions will create new learning opportunities that span education, research, and practical application, expanding opportunities for students to engage with real-world social issues.
APU students will participate in The Creative Academy and the “Unlimited” online course and join consultation sessions with GO’s creative directors.
Students will apply their creative ideas to develop projects that address local challenges.
APU’s research on sustainability will be integrated with GO’s practical expertise to co-develop educational programs.
The achievements of students and alumni will be shared both domestically and internationally, promoting globally connected learning.
Utilizing the Oita campus as a hub, the partnership will foster exchanges that connect the local community with the world.
We are truly honored to have signed this comprehensive partnership agreement with Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. At GO, we are committed to change and challenge, and have been working to solve issues faced by companies and governments through the power of creativity. Through The Creative Academy and “Unlimited,” our online course, we aim to provide students with practical learning opportunities based on our real-world experience in problem identification and resolution. I am excited to see how this collaboration with APU’s international and academic strengths will create an environment where students can engage with real-world challenges even before graduation.
We are delighted to have signed this comprehensive partnership agreement with The Breakthrough Company GO. APU has long been committed to nurturing individuals who tackle social issues, grounded in a multicultural and multinational environment. Through this agreement, our students will participate in Go’s The Creative Academy and its “Unlimited” online course, where they will gain hands-on experience in creative problem-solving. By combining the expertise of both institutions, we will promote projects that connect with local communities and share the achievements of our students and alumni with the world. We look forward to creating a platform for learning and challenge that extends from Oita to the global stage.
