This first-time event by the organizers of Vietnam Week is a compact version of Vietnamese Week, and will be held in Beppu City. Vietnam Day is an ocassion to introduce Vietnamese culture to Japanese, especially Beppu citizens.
“Parade” 12:10 - 12:25 @Fountain
In this opening event on campus, a range of dances will be performed on campus. We will have traditional dances as well as folk festivals from North, South, and Central Vietnam.
“Movie Night” 16:00 - 21:10 @Fountain
This is a movie night event which will be held together with background exhibition, games, and traditional Vietnamese food.
“Soccer Tournament” 15:00 - 17:10 @Gym arena
After being held for the first time in 2015, the Vietnamese Week Soccer Tournament -- the only female soccer tournament at APU -- has experienced a lot of support and anticipation from the APU community.
“So you think you can speak Vietnamese? ” 17:30 - 20:00 @Multipurpose Hall
"So you think you can speak Vietnamese?" is an academic gameshow, a first for Vietnamese Week. Our target participants are APU students who are interested in Vietnamese.
Grand Show “The lost lullaby” 18:30 - (doors open 17:30) @Millennium Hall
After all the amazing events we have planned from Monday through Thursday, our grand show "The lost lullaby" should be the brightest point of 2016's Vietnamese Week.
Eat 'n' Roll: Vietnamese Cuisine (Facebook)
Vietnamese Cuisine is an online project that is carried out by the coordination between Vietnamese Week 2016 and Common Viet. Vietnamese Week 2016's mission is to give a closer, deeper impression about Vietnamese culture and tradition to APU students and local citizens, who are indicated as our target. Therefore, through an online project, we hope we could reach to our target and introduce to them the beauty of Vietnamese cuisine, a part of our culture.
