About the Culture Wagon Camp:
The Culture Wagon Camp is a program that brings diverse student groups together to put on exchange events for local communities. Since 2011, this program has visited a new city each year, promoting international exchange between APU students and local residents. To date, the Culture Wagon Camp has visited Bungo-ono City, Oita City, Hita Town, Kitakyushu City, and Munakata City.
This year, the Culture Wagon Camp will be held in Mashiki Town, which was severely damaged by a series of earthquakes in Kumamoto in April of this year. The University hopes that the residents of Mashiki and the surrounding communities enjoy the performances and intercultural exchange opportunities that APU students bring with this event. Many of the APU students participating in this program have participated in volunteer activities in Mashiki Town and Nishihara Village earlier this year.
