Bath and Beppu City have been sister cities since 1994.
Both cities have promoted friendly relations between citizens and communities, and have worked to develop and foster cooperation in the areas of commerce, industry, economy, education, recreation, sports, and culture. In November 2024, Beppu City will send junior high school students living in Beppu City to its sister city, Bath, marking the 30th year of exchange between the two cities.
APU is also preparing a field study to Bath as part of the study program, which will be a great opportunity to learn more about the connections between APU, Beppu City, and Bath City.
