Participants are being invited for an eleven-part "Low-carbon Society & Environmental Business" lecture series being jointly held by Oita City, APU and the APU Asia Pacific Innovation Management Center (AP-IMAC). Starting on Thursday, May 17 and running until Thursday, July 26, this series is being held as part of the Oita City Industry Activation Plaza's small/mid-sized business support lecture series.
As people become increasingly unsure of the safety of nuclear power in the wake of the incident at the Daiichi nuclear power plant following the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake, natural and renewable energy courses are gaining increasing attention. Through this eleven-part series, APU faculty members will provide an accessible introduction to the possibilities of a low-carbon society and business using renewable energy.
Participants can choose to attend as few or as many lectures as they are interested in. Everyone interested in environmental issues and those looking to get involved in environmental business are invited to come along.
* These lectures will be held in Japanese. Please refer to the Japanese page for more details.
