English-basis Undergraduate Students (APS・APM・ST)
We will hold several mandatory new student orientation sessions to ensure a smooth preparation for enrollment.
Required on-demand videos are uploaded on Moodle. Please make sure to watch all videos during the orientation period. Moodle also contains useful materials for student life, such as campus maps and information on bus passes.
1. Issuance of APU Account (ID) and Password
You will need your APU account login details (APU user ID and password) to access all of APU’s systems, including your APU email, the university’s online noticeboard (Campus Terminal), Zoom, and for online course registration.
APU account user ID and password information was sent to your e-mail address registered with the university on the evening of September 9. Please check your email for notification instructions and confirm your user ID and password.
*Please note that the system to access is different for international and domestic admissions students.

You can confirm your APU account user ID, password, and student ID number in the "Enrollment Procedures System".

2. On-demand guidance videos
Please login to Moodle and watch every guidance video within the period of orientation. Before using the Information Environment (IT services), be sure to read the “BEGINNER'S GUIDE for Students” as well. Additionally, please refer to the IT Support webpage for information on how to use Moodle and setting up Multi-Factor Authentication. In addition to the guidance videos, Moodle also contains many useful materials for student life such as the campus maps and bus pass information, so please be sure to take a look through the site.
3. Orientation schedule
Orientation guidance sessions will be held at the designated dates and times below. Please read the explanations for each guidance session carefully and check the materials you are required to prepare before the guidance session.

* Domestic students: Any student with Japanese nationality, and any foreign students with visas other than a student visa.

You can register for courses at home, in AP House, or anywhere else either on or off campus that has an internet connection.
Also, APU has a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy that encourages students to use their own PC or other device at university. We also encourage students to use their own device for course registration.
However, there are some new students who may not be able to prepare their own device by Course Registration Period. For those students, we will open the PC classrooms on campus. New students who do not have their own device yet are encouraged to use the PC classrooms. Please note that there are a limited number of PC classrooms, so there is possibility that you will be unable to use them. We ask for your understanding. Open PC classrooms will be announced under “Information” on the Campus Terminal. Please note that the number of open classrooms is limited.
